Floating Bamboo

For almost 14 years now, Unkownrigger (Alex) has been practicing the ropes.
The first 2 years he studied history, theory and different types of tying art.

His active time began in Düsseldorf, Germany, where he learned the basics of the Osada Ryu style of tying. When he moved to Berlin, he broadened his knowledge by exploring the styles of different masters (Naka Akira, Ren Yagami, Yukimura and Boris Mosafir).

Since 2019, he has been trying to show and teach his way of tying in a rather non-dogmatic way. He does this at his own school in Berlin, Lichtenberg, as well as at various schools around the world.

Its principle is: “Only when you realize that the rope is just a tool can you learn to tie!”

For over a year now, he has been practicing with his partner and model Xerra (Sarah) who has gained a lot of knowledge and experience in the short time of practicing shibari. For her, rope is more than a hobby or a passion. This is the way to connect with your authentic self.

We will learn all the attachments that are important for pretty shapes on floating bamboo. We will talk about rope handling, rope management, anatomy.

In this workshop we will always pay a lot of attention to the connection with the attached person. How to create that connection, how to maintain it. Additionally, we will cover transitions and direction possibilities in the different positions.

What is the difference between tying in front or tying the person around the bamboo?

Additionally, experience must already exist to attach to a Hashira. If this is not the case, we will additionally treat the normal Hashira at the beginning.

Prerequisites:

For riggers, know-how:

• TK 2 strings
• hip harness
• futomomo
• suspension line

For models:

• have a habit of being suspended regularly



Intermediate /advanced workshop level.

Schedules :

Please arrive early to be ready and warmed up for the start time.

The Saturday :

9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.: Free breakfast and assembly of structures

10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.: Warm-up

10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.: workshop (with 1 hour meal break)

7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.: Share with Spanish inn Jam

On Sunday :

9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.: Warm-up

10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.: workshop (with 1 hour meal break)

Rate :
